A Tree Grows In Brooklyn

A Tree Grows In Brooklyn
By: Betty Smith
2nd week
Overall, I thought that a Tree Grows In Brooklyn was an amazing book.  I thought that their was a lot of detail, but I think that the detail is what made the book good. I noticed that for most books, the plot line is one problem, and then one solution. For A Tree Grows In Brooklyn, the plot line was more realistic, kind of like life, because it was a problem, than a solution, than another problem, than another solution and so on.
I think that people who like old fashioned books would love this book. They also would have to be able to tolerate really long books without getting bored. This is a two week book, and has about 500 pages. On a scale of 1 - 10, I would probably give it a 9, just because how descriptive it was.
