Brand New Backpacks!

Getting a new backpack has always been important to me. I always get so excited when school rolls around, and a buying a new backpack helps remind me that “school is on it’s way!!” This year, I wanted to get an extra special backpack. I was going into the fifth grade and I new that I wanted everything to be perfect. With that mindset, I marched into target, determined to get the perfect backpack.

            I browsed around for a while, envisioning me walking down the halls with my fifth grade friends. I ended up choosing between two backpacks. A bright pink one, and a light blue one. Of course, I went with the light blue one. It seemed to be calling out to me. I was overjoyed with my new backpack. But two months later, I was already asking for a new one.

Kraft Mac and Cheese

            There is always something special about Kraft mac and cheese. It is so easy to make, yet so delicious. So delicious in fact that when I first tried it, I never wanted to go back to that home made stuff. Only “Noodles” mac and cheese, and Kraft mac and cheese. I had just made a batch of Kraft and sat down on the fluffy sofa. I put my feet up, and took my first bite of Kraft.

            Flavors swirled all around me, which morphed into other times that I was eating Kraft. There is something so special about Kraft because it brings you back to the other times when you were eating it. After spooning out my last bite, I realized why I loved Kraft so much… because it’s scrumptious. Looks good, right?!

All The Bright Places

All The Bright Places

Both of them live for the future... And their names are Violet and Finch.
I thought that this was an amazing book. It was really well done and had a well thought out plot. I thought that the way they meet was very interesting, because they were both about to commit suicide. This made the characters relationship much more memorable and showed that they both were stressed and worried about the future.
I thought that the most interesting character was the boy, Finch who wonders and worries about death. He is very interested in dying, and doesn't have a bad attitude about it, he thinks about dying in a positive way. This character taught me to not worry about the future as much as the present.
Overall, I thought that this was a really good book. I think that I would rate it 4.6/5 stars for the amazing storyline. Anyone who liked the fault in our stars would love this book.

Pink Lemonade

            It was the perfect Saturday, with the sun beaming down onto me. I was playing capture the flag, but we figured that it was the perfect time for some Strawberry Lemonade. We were all tired and thirsty, dying for something to refresh us. As soon as the clear pitcher full with icy lemonade came out, our mouths were watering with excitement.

            I got a plastic cup and waited until it was turn to fill the cup up with the pink mixture. I found a tree, and sat beneath it, cherishing every last sip. I licked my lips to get every little bit of the pink lemonade.

Saving Cee Cee Honeycut.

Cee Cee deserves better. Her mom is mentally disabled, her dad is never home to take care of her. So then there is Cee Cee left. The innocent Cee Cee. Yep, she definetly deserves better. I thought that this was a pretty good book. I thought that it was an sad and honest book.
I look for books that are honest because I feel like some books are really fake and inhuman. An honest book will definitley sell for me. I thought that this book could have been better if the author was more expierienced. You could definetly tell that she was a little bit unexpierienced, but I do like that she was really creative and told the story in a way that made sense. Overall, I thought that this was a good book and would reccomend it to people who like the South, because a lot of South themes come into the book.

Sleepy Time

When I was little, I had lots of trouble sleeping. I felt like a giant blanket was cast over me, making me drowsy, but itchy and uncomfortable at the same time. I always slept better in my parent’s bed. It was warm and cozy and always had a place for me to sleep. After a few nights, I realized that I needed a more long term conclusion. I considered it as a special treat to sleep in my parent’s bed.

            One night, I waddled in, tugging a giant camping mattress behind me. The mattress was bright orange, but still, worn out and dirty. Without a word, I plopped it down on the side of my dad’s bed. I was right by the heat, and felt the glowing burn on my cheeks. I was nervous that my mom and dad would ask me what I was thinking, but without a word, they went back to sleep. 

If I Stay

Mia has to make a choice - Not a what type of phone should I buy choice, but a life or death choice - should Mia hang on? or is just not worth the pain.
I thought that overall, If I Stay was an okay book. I thought that in the first half of the book was descriptive and very good, but then the second half of the book dragged on and was a little bit boring. Personally, if I have a boring book, I will get really frusturated and put off reading the book. That's what I did for If I Stay, and ended up reading it on Sunday.
I thought that the characters were well thought out and had human feelings. I think that sometimes authors make the characters feelings really dramatic, but Forman did  a nice job with making the characters not as dramatic and human.
I liked this book, and would rate it a 3.5/5
